Contribution to The Weil Foundation

We continue to make strides to support initiatives directed toward preventative medicine and healthcare reform. Just this year, Vasyli made a $50,000 donation to the Weil Foundation, an organization founded by world-renowned integrative medicine expert, Dr. Andrew Weil, M.D. Created as a long-term funding mechanism for the advancement of integrative medicine through training, research, education, and policy reform, Weil aims to ensure all doctors be routinely trained in integrative medicine, which will result in a commitment to preventative medicine and the reduction of healthcare costs.

Phil Vasyli, founder of Orthaheel Technology, remarks, "At Orthaheel, our priority is to provide well-being with every step, which our shoes reflect in their proven ability to provide comfort and relief from aches and pains. In partnering with Dr. Weil and his foundation, we are proud to support the education of integrative medicine and the key message that movement and pain prevention are necessary steps to support a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

Shoe Donation

The importance of charity trickles all the way through our shoe-making process - from contributing to the Weil Foundation to donating shoes to under-privileged individuals in California and around the world.

FFany Shoe Sale

Vasyli donates new, unworn shoes to QVC and the Fashion Footwear Association of New York (FFANY) to help contribute to their efforts in the fight against breast cancer. The charitable “FFANY Shoes on Sale” shoe sale benefits breast cancer research and education. Just how much of an impact has this shoe sale made? Since 1995, QVC Presents “FFANY Shoes on Sale” has sold over one million pairs of shoes and has donated more than $38 million to the cause. Orthaheel is happy to contribute to the cause and looks forward to another year of donation in 2013.

Soles4Souls

For several years, Vasyli has donated to a charitable organization called Soles4Souls. Their mission is to collect new shoes to give relief to the victims of abject suffering and to collect used shoes to support micro-business efforts to eradicate poverty.

Shoes for the Homeless via Guarantee Shoe Center

In 2012, Vasyli worked with the Guarantee Shoe Center in Bakersfield, California, to make a difference at the near and dear local level. “Shoes for the Homeless” delivers shoes to less fortunate men, women and children in Kern County. These donations have helped in many ways – from providing decent pairs of shoes for job applicants to giving a new pair of shoes to a child for the new school year.

If you would like to make a donation to the Bakersfield Homeless Shelter through Shoes for the Homeless, please contact Rosco Rolnick, President of Guarantee Shoe Center, at (661) 333-8171.
