    Walker Shoe
    Review by Jan12/28/12

I have never reviewed a product in my life--however, I always read them before making online purchases and appreciate honest assessments. Since I have experienced so much pain in my feet from damaging my plantar fascia (particularly the right foot), I thought I'd share the results of my purchases of orthaheel products. I wear a 7.5 shoe almost consistently--once in awhile a 7. I had to return the 7.5 Walker for a 7. This size is a better fit although I may try a 6.5 in the future. The shoe is quite roomy in the toe area. I found the correction for the arch area of the foot to be difficult to get used to but recognized a significant improvement (within a couple of days) in my pain level in the plantar fascia area after consistently rotating between the Walker shoe and the Muir sandal. I took the walkers off regularly, massaged my feet often and wore the Muir Sandal more than the Walker shoe until my plantar fascia had healed to a point I could wear the Walker all day long. My feet had no difficulty adjusting to the Muir Sandal--they were the godsends of my purchase (would recommend wider straps on these shoes). I had also purchased the Kiwi slide and returned them. They were too stiff, too high arched, actually seemed like they were bruising my heels, and felt like they would take a long time to break in.

I now wear the Walker with ease and will continue wearing shoes of this type to ensure my foot is stabilized. I can walk normally now and have been for walking normally for about two weeks. I've had the shoes for a month. I still massage my feet at least once a day and am slowly working back into my exercise routines.

Styling is a little boxier than I like, but I am SO glad to be walking almost completely pain free that styling is a secondary point. I had originally purchased the Walker in white/pink, but when I exchanged, I went with black. The solid black actually cuts down on the boxy look a bit.

    Review by kv12/15/12

After 1/1/2 years of pain and also was fitted for a stable shoe 2 months ago, still much pain, I ordered and received my relax slippers 3 days ago, and already 90% pain free, it really works!

    Helped my inflamation

The support is great and has helpled with the inflamation in my feet.
