The straps are VERY loose! I ordered a size smaller per the suggestions in the reviews so the foot bed fits perfectly. However, I can place FOUR fingers underneath the strap with room to spare! With plantar fasciitis, your shoes should fit closer to the foot for maximum support. A suggestion.....add a velco adjustable strap similar to the men's RYDER and you would have a FIVE STAR product!

I need to be on my feet a lot and periodic plantar fasciitis flares were a serious problem. It killed me to pay so much $ for flip-flops, but I finally bought these a year ago and have never regretted it. They actually do provide relief. Now mine are getting a little worn and I will not hesitate to replace them. They are well worth it to me.

My flat feet gave my knees hell to the point where going upstairs to my room was a painful chore. With these as my indoor shoes, I don't have to think twice about stairs anymore. I love them!!

I was having problems with the ball of my foot, my back and my ankle. I received the wave sandals in the mail and haven't had any problems with my foot,back or ankle. Wow what a difference. I ordered two more pairs.

I have had bouts of plantar fasciitis over the last year. I have had the cortisone shot and my podiatrist taped up my arch. He told me I would have to forego the flip flops for the summer :-( , a friend told me about another flip flop/sandal at REI with a good arch support. This particular sandal however seem to aggravate the plantar and I trudge through wearing them. I was looking in the skymall magazine on the airplane and found these flip flops. I immediately bought them and they are so comfortable and don't irritate my plantar. I am going to by the orthotic with the same technology for my walking shoes.

OH MY GOSH! My feet have not felt this relaxed or well in years! At least 10 years and that is no exageration. I love these and will buy more once there are more colors. Thank you Orthaheel.

I have had plantar fasciitis for the last 4.5 years (I've had cortisone shots, custom orthotics and physical therapy) It comes and goes and is never really totally gone. I purchased these sandals on a whim. I have worn them every day inside the house and cannot tell you what a huge difference these have made. It is seriously like a miracle! For anyone with plantar fasciitis you must at least give these a try. I'm eagerly awaiting the 3/4 inserts and the luna slippers so I can use these as my outdoor flops this summer. I have only been wearing them two weeks (so I still do have some pain when not wearing, but do not have pain with them on). I wear an 8.5-9. I initially purchased these in a 9 and they were OK. I went back to the store after they had got a shipment in with some size 8's. It was a huge difference! I'd recommend purchasing a size down if you are a 1/2 sizer. The straps were initially a little snug, but after wearing them for a week they have stretched out very nicely. I'm so excited that these are working, and that I will actually be able to wear flip-flops without damaging my feet. I hope Orthaheel comes out with some cute fall shoes b/c I will be purchasing more. Again if you have plantar fasciitis, you will love these. I hope all the plantar fasciitis sufferers have as good of luck as I have!

Shoes just arrived UPS! I put them on and oh, they are just wonderful on my feet. Cannot wait to order other Wave products.
